Turntable Ready
In recognition of the recent vinyl revival, Audiolab has included a phono stage for moving magnet
phono cartridges – a high-quality, low-noise, JFET-based circuit with precise RIAA equalisation.
Similarly, an increasing number of people are using headphones for music listening, so Audiolab has
incorporated a dedicated headphone amp with current-feedback circuitry. Its gain bandwidth and high
slew rate ensure a dynamic, detailed and engaging performance with all manner of headphone types
– more boxes ticked for this most integrated of integrated amplifiers.

Wharfedale Diamond 12.1
Intelligent design aided by the advancements of modern computer simulation has created a small bookshelf loudspeaker that sounds far beyond its rather modest price tag. These 2-way bookshelf loudspeakers feature 25mm textile dome tweeters and 130mm advanced PP mid/bass cone drivers. Combined with a slightly larger chassis, Diamond 12.1 offers deeper bass response and wider dynamic range, perfect for small-to-medium sized listening rooms.
Its dome tweeters incorporate woven polyester film and high-loss coatings to generate silky smooth high-frequency extension. A newly formulated blend of polypropylene and mica significantly reduce flex to create a rigid, lightweight cone with low colouration and lightning-fast response. And computer simulated design cleverly braces opposing cabinet walls, using specific wood composites, to create Diamond’s most effective reduction in cabinet resonance.
So your new Diamond 12.1s play harder, handle more power, and perform flawlessly… every time.

Stereonet Review
"Much as I go weak at the knees at the prospect of more esoteric loudspeaker creations, I've never lost the thrill of finding speakers in what's crudely termed budget and mid-market price brackets, that really do the business."
